Hi all,

Our customer has installed an IOMEGA network drive, now my problem is: How can I backup the data on it ?
The drive can only be in a workgroup.

regards
azzurri

Is this IOMEGA drive a mount point on a server?

Or is it only accessable though the network?

Accessible in through network only, my idea is to create a network drive on a server, share it and at the end backup the share

that should work azzurri..if no mount point then use unc path

It doesn't work !!!
The drive is a map on a server.
I still get error messages like:
Logon of ./"username" failed with error 1326. Check the user's password and privileges.
I cannot modify the permissions on the Windows level ( mapped drive), there are 2 "nobody" and 1 "everyone" accounts.
If I set full control and "OK" the fields are empty.
cannot delete the "nobody", they appears again...
ARSponger0 asks about a mount point on a server...how can I do this on a Windows Server ?

regards
azzurri

Hi

Answered in your other post.

ARSponger means that can you create a mount point of the share onto a server ie. map a network drive.

When you map a network drive to a server you can then backup that network drive through the host server's filesystem iDA

I've mapped as network drive, and the filesysten iDA do not backup it !

Sorry for that but I think I have tried quite all the solutions, but not found the correct one.
