IODU/C release versions

I know this is "old school" equipment at this point, and I have a spare IODU/C unit (rel 6); just looking to acquire additional units for a crash kit (long term disaster recovery) - I'm running a 61C (motorola's) rel 4.5 with IODU/C units at release 6.

My question: What's the highest release of IODU/C units that I could use in this switch?
and are the release level differences listed anywhere anymore?

I've been digging out some old stuff that I probably should have ditched a few years ago!.

I was aware that the CP4 (68060E) processor family support ending at 4.5 - The next step was a card cage change due to the Pentium processors and the cCNI cards.

What I was trying to determine is the IODU/C (HD,Floppy,CDROM) revision level. I have NT5D61AB rel 6 in both sides - and have some spare units from another system that are NT5D61AB Rel 10 - just not sure what the difference is between Rel 6 and Rel 10;
I guess when I have free time, I can split the system, swap HDD and Dongle in to a REL 10 and try it.
Since this system isn't going away for a few more years, it's nice to have spare parts....just in case!

I don't think that a change in release issue will affect anything. You should be fine with different versions.

I've found this below.

IODU/C PROBLEM.A new vintage of the IODU/C packs (NT5D61AB/BB) are being introduced (see table below) to correct an area of marginality in the circuit that supplies power to the hard disk.

Very few field problems have been reported that match the symptoms listed below. However, due to the potential system impact of this condition, Nortel is offering a free of charge upgrade for all IODU/C packs.

Under rare conditions, the voltage supplied to the hard disk may drop below the minimum level required to sustain normal hard disk operation. The potential impact to hard disk processes is as follows:

· During software installation: the process may be disrupted or aborted.
· During normal operation: the CMDU may be disabled with an indication that the hard disk is faulty. However, a CMDU test may show the hard disk to be functional.
· During archive or disk synchronization: the CMDU may be disabled. Backup may terminate without an error message.
