I am running Windows 98 SE and have a disk drive that has gone invisible. The drive numbering in file explored goes c, e, f .... with "d" missing. The d drive is part of a partition on a physical drive. The drive is visible in bios and DOS, and is visible if you do a search for d:. I just can't do anything with it under windows. Any ideas? Tony.

Yep , that did it thanks. I had TweakUI installed and obviously "bumped" a selection somewhere on the way. I knew I had seen a drive list like that somewhere before but couldn't remember where. Thanks again, Tony.

in regedit, u can search for NODRIVES and delete it. may be it had been set to 08.

With kind regards.

I did want to mention, hiding a drive letter with TweakUI usually disables the right-click and Explore function on the Start button and My Computer.
