I am using MSExcel XP Pro and I would like to find the inverse of a matrix containing complex numbers. I have managed to find the complex functionality in excel but it would seem that excel's matrix functions only accept real numbers.

Any help or suggestions gratefully received.

sdlloyd,
Wow! It's been over 35 years since I've worked with complex numbers, but I love the challenge.

Give me a small example, real and complex and what method you are using to transpose the matrix. I'll take a look at it.

I have managed to answer my own problem and thought that I would share it with you all.

A search on the web found me this site.

They have freeware XLA files for complex matrices and a whole load of other functions that are going to help me.

My thanks to Skip and anyone else that may have been looking to help.

Many thanks for the link, it looks quite interesting from a cursory glance.

Regards
