Inventory Maintenance Description Pop-up 1

Hello All,

We are in the process of switching from ACCPAC to MAS90 and I've found something which I (and my co-workers) find really irritating:

In the Inventory Management module, when I select a product from the the Inventory Maintenance screen, how do I keep the Item Text Management screen from automatically popping up if the product has an extended description? I've been going through them manuals and can't find anything on the subject.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1) Yeah, that can be irritating. The only think I can recommend is pressing the [ESC] key to get rid of it. I don't know if you can do anything in Custom Office to regulate the normal action. Plus customization can get pricey.

2) By the way, what were the main reason why you are switching from ACCPAC to MAS90?

On any panel with a Defaults button you click the button and then uncheck the Description box to stop the pop up.

We're making the switch because we are currently using the small business edition of ACCPAC which limits us to 10 users. To upgrade we would have to migrate to ACCPAC Enterprise edition. The cost of this migration is the same as switching to MAS90. After spending months reviewing both suites of software I've determined that MAS is the better product - the interface is easier to use, it doesn't have the "features" (bugs) that ACCPAC has and ACCPAC doesn't have an e-commerce solution that I am happy with. On the whole I think MAS is a much more stable, reliable & robust product.
