My activity screen shows that my jobs are qued and they never run. I tried to do invetory on my device and it fails. I am not sure why and I don't know what to try. Anyone has any idea?

Inventory Failed, Backup jobs qued

Check the system log for any error with the tape device.
Power down the system completely including the tape device if external and boot back up.
Make sure the tape device is detected in windows, etc
Sound like it lost connection to the tape device
