My company needs to keep it's inventory by case and/or roll number. Each case/roll also needs to be identified by quality. The case/roll number also needs to be listed on the invoice to the customer.

We are having some "custom programming" done by someone that is not familiar with Mas 200. What are some MAS 200 solutions or is their add-on software that could easily solve our problem.

We are a new MAS 200 customer and we have no internal IS staff.

It is a big mistake IMHO to have someone who is not familiar with Mas200 to do this programming. While the rate you are being charged by this "someone" is probably a lot less that your Mas200 consultant would charge, there is every possibility that this feature already exists within Mas200 and would not even need to be programmed at all.

I am a Macola consultant and if someone wanted to do this in Macola, there would be no programming required, just a few setup and implementation issues to be addressed. Mas200 is one of our bigest competitors so I have to assume they have similar abilities.

In the event the custom programming is required, the Mas200 consultants are going to KNOW what is affected by the program changes, and will be able to do the job in a fraction of the time as someone who is not familiar with the package.

If you need a reference to a good Mas200 consultant let me know, I know of a couple.

Thanks for the reply. I would be interested in an experienced consultant that could help us with our inventory problem. I am in the textile industry.

Hi there,

In inventory set the item up as a serialized item. This will allow you to enter a lot control number for each case/roll. I would then suggest that you include a "quality" indentifier in the items control number.

I've had client in the fusing business that used this method to control/trake inventory items.

I hope this helps
