WE ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING CRYSTAL REPORTS VERSION 7.0.1.100
ON A OCE 9400 USING REPRO DESK.  THE REPRO DESK IS RECORDING THE
ACCOUNTING INFORMATION.  WHEN TRYING TO PRINT THROUGH CRYSTAL
REPORTS WE GET THE INVALID TLV RECORD MESSAGE.  ANY SUGGESTIONS?????

Suggestion #1, take off your caps lock. Your message will be easier on the eyes.

This error means that the RPT file does not pass an internal consistency check. Often it means the the RPT is corrupted and unrecoverable, although not always. Do you have a backup copy that worked?

At what point does the error occur?

Is another application running the Crystal Report or is it running from just within Crystal? What is the operating system of the PC.

Can you open the report in the Crystal Design environment?

Was the report created with an older version of Crystal, or is there another version installed on this PC?

Hi Freddy!
Just a quick check for you to do.
Everytime this has happened to me, I have checked the report properties and found the file size to be 0kb. I don't know whether you have checked this.
If so, use a backup! [sig][/sig]

I have seen this error when the user does not have write permissions in the report(run) directory. Ensure you have write access.
