I am upgrading from Sql Server 2000 with Crystal Reports v8.5 to Sql Server 2005 with Crystal Reports v11. There is an xml job that grabs a .rpt puts it into a .pdf and emails it. If I send the email with no attachements it will work. When I add an attachement it throws the 'Invalid TLV record' error. I have added many .dll's and recreated the .rpt but am still seeing the error. Does anyone have any ideas suggestions? I have been promoted to incompetance so most of what I am seeing on Google is either over my head, or just doesn't apply.

Thanks

You are trying to process an rpt that is either corrupt or, more likely, is not compatible with the runtime component version. Possibly, you are trying to run a Crystal 11 rpt file in a Crystal 8.5 runtime components app.

hth,
- Ido

view, email, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

That was one of the things I read on-line. So I created a new report in the new version of Crystal and saved it over the old report but I am still getting the invalid tlv error. Is there maybe something else I need for the runtime component version?
Thanks

Check the Crystal version of your runtime components. It must be compatible with the Crystal version that created or saved the rpt.

I have updated the .msm files to v11 but am still getting the error. Do I need to register these files? And if yes how?
Thanks again, this is so far over my head and now so far over due. Help for you guys in this forum is great and greatly appreciated.

Please help. I have the same issue. For no apparent reason, I am no longer able to print any Crystal reports. I have re-installed Crystal 11 and then Crystal 2008, but the error message remains.

The application I am running is Accpac ERP 5.5. Many of the reports are standard but there are also some customised reports. None of them work.

Note that this error only occurs on the server, not from any workstations.

Any other suggestions please? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
