Hi
Excel 2000/Office 2000Pro

I have a user form that displays customer information according to the selection in a combo box. Then there are three more combo boxes used to update certain information on the customer.

This apparently works perfectly well for the first customer, and I can select another, but then if I click into any control on the form I get "Invalid Property Value"

This is now getting extremely frustrating - how can I chase this one down to it's source ?

Many thanks
Ken

If this isa userForm then this probably involves some code, yes? In which case, this should likely be posted in the VBA forum. The reason I state that is my first question is - could you post some code? And state precisely what you are doing. Specifically, could you please elaborate on:

I can select another, but then if I click into any control on the form I get "Invalid Property Value

Why are you clicking on a control?
What IS the control?
What is it supposed to be doing?

Hi Gerry,

I take your point about the vba forum - I've always stuck the Access fora before but I'm trying to troubleshoot some Excel work for a colleague.

There is a lot of code behind this form and I cannot isolate the problematic area, if I could I would post some.

To elaborate: this is a profiling tool that "scores" customers with a fairly simple formula. The process would be

1) select customer name from combo box - Change event populates text boxes with information drawn from the Excel sheet.

2) other combo boxes allow specific parameters for this customer to be amended - Change event updates the Excel sheet, formulae in the spreadsheet recalculate the score and another procedure is called to amend the information displayed on the form.

This works perfectly well for the first customer selected. If I then select another customer via the combo box it is selected and the information displayed. If I then go to any of the other combo boxes to amend information I get the "Invalid Property Value" error. Following this clicking in any control on the form gives the same error.

I am at a loss to pin this one down, any advice you can offer would be gratefuly received, or I'll spend time tomorrow rewriting it all :(

Ken
