when printing a pdf form from a website using acrobat reader 5.1 I get an invalid page fault in module pdf.ocx.

The pdf will print fine. It happens when exiting IE6. Have uninstalled and reinstalled IE6 AND Acrobat reader 5.1. Have updated drivers for printers and video card. Have done all the windows updates and ran System File Checker in windows. Have a clone pc, PII 300, 192Mb ram, and plenty of disk space on the harddrive.

Would greatly appriciate any help you can give on this problem.

Thanks,
Mark

Excuse me~ Windows 98 second edition. Thought you may have kind-of figured that out when I said I ran System File Checker.

Figured out the problem here! Its an Acrobat problem that can be cured by editing a registry key for Acrobat.

>The registry entry that needs to be changed is the ThreadingModel item under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{CA8A9780-280D-11CF-A24D-444553540000}\InprocSer ver32. You can simply delete the ThreadingModel item, after which Windows will assume the control only supports single threading (no STA or MTA).

the only thing i could find is that you may need to check for spyware like gator (gator causes alot of page faults as you may already know).

could you let us know the full error such as "Rundll32 caused an invalid page fault in module Kernel32.dll"

sorry i couldn't find out anything else. to add however you may already be aware, page faults are caused alot of the times by a lack of system resources, out dated video drivers or a corrupt pagefile.sys. that being said it looks like you have covered all that in your pass post. good luck.
