I have a CS1000 with a survivable media gateway configuration. When IP sets register to the alternate call server the display shows "INVALID ID (3)". There seems to be no malfunction the sets can make and receive calls. Just wondering.if anyone has come across this and knows how to get rid of it.

I'd be asking why the sets are registering to the Alternate Call Server. If that is happening, you have a bigger problem than Invalid ID on the display.

The reason they are registering to ACS1 is because I forced them to as a test to determine if the feature is working. The geo redundancy was just added recently and we needed to know that it works.

The sets will allways have invalid ID on them if they are registered in the wrong place, its there to tell you hey I'm in the wrong place. Like if you drop phones back to an SMG you get the same (differnet id), if they drop back to the Branch you get Loacl Mode. These are all there to inform you of a problem. Restore the MO and they will register in the right place and say user xxxx.

Thanks Bignose21, I was wondering if it may be normal but I thought it would check as I haven't seen this setup before. It would be nice to have a more friendly indication such as "local mode".
