I recently found a number of files created on our network (Win95 & 98 clients) running Banyan Vines client. The Word and Excel files had Creation dates such as dd/mm/2081 or dd/mm/2033 etc. I found about 20 such files. A user also sent me a file with a modified date of 17/03/2033. This was a Word Document.

We are using Office 95 with the MS Y2K patch applied.

Any one else seeing these problems?? or possibly know which product is causing them?

Rauleigh

Is Banyan Y2K compliant?

We use to use it a while back, but dumped it for various reasons. Anyway, I have noticed similar date anomalies on files stored on some old Banyan shares.

dxd

The version of banyan vines we are using (V8.5) is ceritfied Y2K ready. I have not noticed the date problem previously and we did conduct Y2K testing as far as 2035. Note that Banyan will only go as far as 2029 after which unpredicable results were obtained.

Anyone else seen these creation/modification date problems?
