Hi Guys,

I'm running ACCPAC 4.1 Corporate series with Pervasive SQL on a Win NT 4.0 server. Evey so often when my accounting people try to access any icon within the modules, they get "Invalid file format". I have to reinstall the System Manager Software back onto the server, then it works fine. I perform data integrity checks and the tables are fine. Any insights or ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hi

We have this problem as well.. We run Accpac over Citrix metaframe and at least once a day we start getting these errors. Rebooting the servers solves it, until the next time. Does anybody have any clue as to why this is happening and how I can get rid of it??

Hi JuicyV,

I found out what the problem was. It was a virus infecting the files. We had done a couple of scans but found nothing. We then reinstalled and saved a copy of the good files to another computer. When the problem re-occured and I compared the saved files with the problem files, I noticed their file sizes had increased by a fixed amount. These were files that weren't supposed to change. I emailed the file to someone who I new had several virus checkers and found a variant of the Magistr virus.

Hope this helps.

Hi Paisan

Thanks for that, it definitely sheds a bit of light, but could you tell me which Files exactly did you find that had been infected? Program files or data, and their location?
