Hello All:

Hope you can help.

I'm trying to link to tables in an Oracle database and I am getting the following error:

Invalid field definition <name> in definition of index or relationship. (Error 3409).

I am trying to link to Peoplesoft tables and only receive this error on certain tables. Others are fine.

Example: I can link to the F0902 with no problem, but receive the above error when linking to the F0006?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

What are the Oracle datatype of the indexed columns in F0006 ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

PHV:

Thanks for the quick reply.

The indexed fields are:

MCMCU nchar(24)
MCMCO nchar(10)
MCSTYL nchar(4)
MCFMOD nchar(2)
MCAN8 DESC = MCAN8 number

Looking at it this way, it appears that 'MCAN8 DESC' is the problem, since the table only includes the field 'MCAN8'.

It don't know what this means, but hope there is a work around.....any suggestions?

Thanks again,

FYI

Problem seems to relate to Access 97.

When I tested things in 2002, there was no problem linking.
