I've seen this topice somewhat covered in thread940-1145087 but does not really tell the difference... Is the only real difference in the way users retrieve messages? Seems like there would be more than that... Any differences you can help me out with are appreciated!

Also Question... Switching from one to the other, can this be done at any time without issue or changes? (Meaning switch it and away you go, or are there some changes that need to be made in/to manager or VM Pro) Or does it need to be done at time of configuration only?

Thanks in advance for your help and insight!!

I've switched back and forth in a lab environment only, everything seemed fine.

I always setup systems in Intuity mode so I never used IPO mode but from the documentation it seems rather a simple interface compared to the Intuity

You're correct, the only difference is the way users retrieve messages. Some think it's a little more user friendly. I do all my installs in Intuity mode myself.

You can make the change at anytime, just change it and then save and make live. There is nothing else that needs to be done.

IPO mode has an easier userinterface (the same as VM Lite)
unfortunatly Avaya have decided not to bother enhancing this interface to enable the use of newer VM Pro features.

As already stated it is easy to switch between the two so the choice is down to personal preference & system requirements.

My advise is if the customer is upgrading from Lite to pro & does not need the Intuity only features then stick with IP Office mode.

If it is a new install & does not req the intuity only feature let the customer make the choice.
