One of our IT guys accidentally started the uninstall process of VM Pro on our avaya VM server. The uninstall process did not complete. But after he canceled the uninstall our voicemail quit working as well as our main greeting.

I got our voicemail and greeting back up by re-installing the Voicemail Pro Service, and changing the default telephony interface to 'IP Office', then rebooted the PBX. But the problem is, I need the voicemail to use intuity. When I switch the default telephony service back to Intuity then 'save and make live'.... i push my message button on my avaya 1608 phone and i get dead air. I've restarted the services, rebooted the server, many Google searches and I'm just stuck at this point now.

Do a reinstall and repair.
Copy the complete folder c:/Program Files/Avaya/IP Office/Voicemail Pro/VM before you do anything.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

So if I copy 'c:/Program Files/Avaya/IP Office/Voicemail Pro/VM' I will not lose anything? Then once I do the repair I can copy the accounts folder and greetings folder back over and all will be the same as before? Or is the repair supposed to keep this information?

I'm worried about losing our phone tree settings and prompts as well as voicemail messages and greetings.

The complete mdb should be there somewhere.
But i do not know where form the top of my head.
Can you export it form the vmpro client?

In VM Pro Client I went to file -> import or export -> then exported the database as a .mdb file.

Then you have the callflow.
In the Folder VM are the greetings, wavs etc etc

Also take a look in c:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\WAVS\ENU or c:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\WAVS\ENU and make sure the files all end in .wav and not .adpcm. I've seen this before and you can actually just rename them from .adpcm to .wav and it seems to work fine. If the install died in the middle of the file conversion you may not have everything you need for Intuity mode to work from a recordings perspective.

@ tlpeter thanks! I'll do this after hours tonight and hopefully all goes well... Seems pretty simple

@ kholladay all the files in the /wavs/enu folder are .wav
