Intrusion Detection recommendations....

I am evaluating Intrusion Detection software and would appreciate any recommendations or ideas on the subject. I am currently looking at Tripwire and eTrust Intrusion Detection. We reside behind a firewall and we haven't had any security issues, just thinking of adding another layer of protection.
