We turned on Intrastat Tracking and now we can't print any Purchase Order Documents (modified POP Blank Form), including alignment pages. We get this error "Error in equation '*** ILLEGAL SYNTAX ***DISPLAY'". When we turn off the Intrastat, we get this error "Max symbol length exceeded: increase MAX_TOK_LEN". Any ideas how we can fix this? We are using Great Plains 8, Service Pack 2, SQL 2000 (going to Dynamics 9, SQL 2005 in two weeks).

We couldn't find any documentation that specifies what happens when this feature is enabled. Does anyone know?

Turning a feature on and off and still having the problem SEEMS to indicate that the problem is in the base report and not tied to the feature. Without good documentation on the report writer (comming soon), I would suggest deleting the custom report and recreating it. If you need to save a copy of it, export it using Customization Management, edit it in Notepad and change the report name (in the first couple of lines, note there are two places).

What Service Pack of v8 do you have installed.

There was a known issue with the report writer running out of memory (giving MAX_TOK_LEN errors) when additional calculated fields were added to a modified report. This especially occured with POP and SOP reports which are already very complex.

Install SP5 (because it is the latest and last) and the Memory problem should go away.

The Syntax error is probably a mistake in the modifications made, but could still be caused by the memory error.
