Hi guys!
I have a problem at a customer where all clues point to a hardware problem of the IP500v2 itself. Luckily enough we have a spare (and virgin) box in stock. The customer runs on R8.0.46 and should stay that way.
For the test whether the new box works better I want to use the same firmware as the original uses. Unfortunately this denies update to R8.1 (within 90 days) which renders this box useless for future installations if the problems persist and the box goes back to our storage.
My idea now was to upgrade my virgin box to R8.1, make a call and then downgrade it back to R8.0. My hope is that it then works with R8.0 for the test and R8.1 for a future real installation (as long as R8.1 is current).
Can somebody tell me if this could work? Or is there another way?
Thanks in advance!
