Hi everyone,

We have CM3 and CMS 13 and want to know if the interval can be changed. I recall reading that the interval can be changed to 15 minutes. We currently have 30 minute intervals.

If we do this, what affect can it have? Does it impact the reports server considerably? We want to do this to get in sync with our Blue Pumpkin server for forecasting and scheduling purposes. Will this affect other reports like integrated or real time reports?

I changed my interval a few months ago. It does affect the CMS storage allocation. You need to make sure that you allocate more DBSpace for the areas affected in CMS. I have an old SunBlade 100, 25 supervisor licenses, 200 agents in a single ACD, and I had no problems making the change. I did plenty of research before I made the change, and it was quite successful for the call center managers. They can check things a little more granularly now. I would make the change at the end/beginning of a month. This way your stats will change on a noted period, so when you go back and look at them, you know that you were at 30 minute intervals until XX/XX and then you went to 15 minute intervals. It depends on how many days you store interval information. I store mine for 99 days. I did not see any problems with the equipment being able to handle the data volume at all. We process about 1.5 million minutes of calls in our call center each month. CMS has kept up, and I am using V9.

Thank you for the info. Anyone else have other thoughts on this? We are closely approaching the end of the month so we may do it then.
