I need some help with interpreting the following sed command.  s/\*\*/\*0\*/g.  What exactly would this replace?  I'm guessing the string of characters '*\*' would be replaced with '*0\*'.  Any help is much appreciated.

Almost.&nbsp;&nbsp;<b><FONT FACE=monospace><font color=red> \*\* </b></font></font> finds <b><FONT FACE=monospace><font color=red> ** </b></font></font> and <b><FONT FACE=monospace><font color=red> \*0\* </b></font></font> is just <b><FONT FACE=monospace><font color=red> *0* </b></font></font> <p>Octalman<br><a href=mailto: > </a><br><a href= > </a><br>
