Hi
my main server is NT2000, i have 3 computers connected to it, 2 winxp and 1 mandrake 8.1,

However i couldn't get the mandrake 8.1 internet sharing to work.
Does any one know how.

I already enabled dhcp in mandrake however each time i boot up, i get errors such ipv4 packet forwarding....

Can someone please give me instructions on how to do it?

many thanks
Joe

Hi,

You may find the problem lies with the Tiny firewall that ships with Mandrake 8.1, assuming that you haven't configured it after install. By default, it flushes all the forward chain rules ! Either configure it properly or delete the default config file :

# rm /etc/sysconfig/iptables

Hope this helps

If you have an NT server that you have connected to the internet you would not setup internet connection sharing on the MDK box. Just DHCP. I am assuming that your NT server is acting as the DHCP server. If you have run internet connection sharing you probably have two DHCP servers running now and that is not good.
