"Internet Messaging for the INTUITY AUDIX"

I saw this on Avaya's web site and was wondering if anyone uses it. If so, what does it do? The documentation is very vague. It sounds to me like you can check your voicemail from you email client, maybe?
see link:

This is the way it works:

The Intuity Audix allows e-mail clients to login to their mailbox. (only pop3)

This way all the voicemail messages will appear in the inbox of the e-mail client.

You can listen to these messages with the Avaya Voice Player which can be downloaded from the Intuity Audix.

If you use faxmessaging then these messages will be moved to the e-mail client where they appeasr as TIF files.
