Ever since I have upgraded to Win XP and IE6.0 I have been having problems with links to other websites. Some links on websites just throw up a blank website with no error, this is mainly when it opena up a new windows to display the web page in.

It is not a problem with the website as I know others that have been able to get to the links with no problems.


I have restored all the defaul settings in IE6.0 and still cannot get them to open ina new Window.

I have re-installed IE6.0 and also downloaded the patches and updates for Win XP from Microsoft.

Any ideas appreciated.

The bit about re-registering files is the most likely.

I had the same problem. Try the following:

Go to Start, Run, type "regsvr32 urlmon.dll" without the quotes, and OK.
