INTERNET EXPLORER VERSION

I have had two magazines where one of the programs on the attached disk states Internet Explorer Version 6.
When it is installed and I check Help/About Internet Explorer it states 5.50.4134.01001c. Is this version 6 or is incorrectly marked on the disk?
I would appreciate your advise.

It has to be. If you actually had IE 6 it would say the correct version under Help then about IE.

bgauntt, Thanks for the reply, I finally found the problem, when installing IE6, it would fail at 93%, that is why my version was always showing 5.5. I tried to install IE6 many times with different options, always crashed at 93% this was with 3.43gb free on the hard drive. I uninstalled IE5, same problem. Finally I re installed IE5 and then installed IE6, all is now working OK.
