Hey all here's one for you. I have a Compaq NW8000 with wireless/wired and bluetooth nic, router is a lynksys wirless for home. It works fine when I am Connected via hard wire at work and at home and I can surf the net and get network shares. But when I am on Wireless at home, I can also connect to my network at work but not to IE6. I have check every thing I can think of. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks in Advance.

Be sure about whether your are Service Pack 2 or not.

Your wired connection has a different service stack than any other connection, including your wireless. I suspect stack corruption on the wireless.

I have SP2. So what would I have to do to resolve the issue? Please and thankyou

Perhaps the FAQ is not as clear as I intended.

For service pack 2 under XP:

. use the native Nethhell utility to rebuild the Winsock service stacks:

Start, Run, netsh winsock reset

. Then rebuild if necessary the TCP/IP stack:

1. Right-click the network connection, and then click Properties.
2. Click Install.
3. Click Protocol, and then click Add.
4. Click Have Disk.
5. Type C:\Windows\inf, and then click OK.
6. On the list of available protocols, click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and then click OK.
7. Restart the computer.
