I recently install sharepoint service with sp1. After a few installs and uninstall I finally got it to work correctly. However when I navigate between screens, internet explorer reloads entire page all the time, to the point that it hurts my eyes and numbs my brain.

This issue is not there if I use firefox.

Is there a fix for this IE issue?

Thanks,
chinh.

Is it only refreshing when you first load a new page? Or does it keep refreshing if you stay on a page? I'm not aware of an IE setting that would refresh that often.

You could have a META Refresh tag on the pages you are viewing?

Please clarify as I may be misunderstanding the issue.

I created a document library B where I added 4 folders F1-F4. When I go from B to F1, the entire page was reloaded. When I go from F1 back up to B, the entire page was reloaded. When I go from B to F2, the entire page was reloaded, etc... And what I mean by reloading is the entire page turned white and then the tool bar and web parts reappeared. This only happens in IE. Firefox doesn't have this issue; when I go from B to F1 the only page updating was F1's section, i.e. files inside F1. However, there are certain features which I can't use when using firefox such as discussion or the dropdown menu when pointing the mouse over a file or folder.

ofcourse the entire page reloads... the page has no frames.. Its just that firefox loads it faster because it cant use some features and doenst need the data for those features send to them. Only if you have serverside script it can do some thing without refreshing but that is usualy not the case with sharepoint...
