Lately I've seen this problem. Whenever I use a Clt+T in Internet Explorer 7, my default search engine would change from Google to Yahoo. The newly created tab would have some yahoo contents in it and yahoo search page. First, how do I resolve this? Second, how do I totally remove Yahoo from my list of available search engine providers from IE 7?

Do you have the search bar in the top right corner? If so there should be a magnifying glass next to it. Click the Arrow next to it.
Click "Change Search Defaults". You can add / remove / change there.

As for how to get rid of Yahoo is easy click the arrow beside the search pane. Click change search defaults. High light the Yahoo and click remove. Also you should be able to set your google as the default.

Anything listed for Yahoo Search in your Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel?
