Hey,

I went round a mates house to test a wi-fi link. To do this he said the easiest way (for some reason or other???) was to delete the dial ups (i dont know why, but whats done is done). Without thinking i did!! with good reason, i have done this in XP loads of times and can set up the dup from memory.

Well now the problem is, my connection is being refused (username/password) by freeserve. What could it be??

Freeserve have been good and are attemping to help, but are abit slow.

Regards

Firewall?

I've also had it happen when I must have hit a wrong key entering the password.

Also, using the dialup in the Networking section of Control Panel instead of the default dialer gives you a chance (IF you're fast enough to hit the button) to better diagnose dialup problems.
