Hi all,

Anyone got any suggestions as to the best and cheapest software for this? Only need something with a 30 day trial, as we will have a new server in place by then

Cheers for any help

Ricky

Why buy anything. Turn on IP routing on one(workstationA) of the workstations, then set up the other(workstationB) to use that workstation(workstationA) as it's default gateway.

thanks for the response

Stiddy, how do i turn on ip routing for the "server" workstation, and can I get that to initiate a dial up connection on demand?

Thanks for the help

Ricky

Well, to turn on ip routing, right click net neighborhood/properties/protocols/tcp-ip/properties/rounting

check the box marked enable Ip forwarding. Now, its been a while since I had did this so bear with me, I beleive you may have to installed a second nic card, which you probably have lying around, and this would make your PC multihomed. Kinda, but not quite, a router. As far as dail up, do some research on "Demand Dial Routing". Check google or where ever you go to search. HTH

Thanks for the help :)
