This is from a customer of ours from the U.K.

THUB10 trunk 205- Calls are being received prefixed with a comma
Please run a trace on trunk 205 to establish if calls are being received in the incorrect format, or it is happening on Avaya once the call is received.

Any ideas as to why a comma is being sent? is there something that could be adjusted in the trunk group or is it a carrier issue?

Type of trunk? Direct to the CM or is there anything intervening?

This is a direct to CM PRI circuit and it's for incoming calls, not outgoing, so i don't think changing the route-pattern will affect this. I think that the carrier is sending this, but they are disputing me on this.

list trace tac # what does it shows coming in?

Have you checked the inc-call-handle treatment section? what is configured there?

Do you have more than 1 trunk group in the phone system? If yes, what I would do is to route the call to the same destination if possible (Using different DID numbers of courses) but that will let you know if there is an issue at the pbx level.

If one works and the other one failed, check the trunk group configuration and if everything looks good, the issue is at the carrier level.

Please add as much information as possible about the trunk group configuration, inc-call-handl..., etc.
