I know it has been asked, but I am not sure I got this right. I am a computer Tech being asked to take over the phone system's for our 6 offices. We have an office out of Chicago that needs to dial Hong Kong. The provider tells me I have to strip the 011 from the call. So I made this short code and I am wondering if I did this right. Please note they use 8 to get an outside line, not 9.

Code: 8011N
Feature: Dial
telephone Number 011N
Line Group ID: 50: Main

The normal outside line code reads
code: 8N
Feature: Dial
Telephone Number: N
Line Group ID: 50: Main

Can't change the VM Pro Security password, don't now the default :(

No you don't, give them VPNs if they need access to OXP, don't give them a straight connection as that's just madness. Also the solution to your original problem actually had nothing to do with your initial post, you would have got your answer faster if it had :)

WOn't changing the IP break OXP? I have them connecting to a url that leads to the IP. I did change the passwords at least. Again I am learning and sort of tossed to the woves on this and the help is grand

Accually would you be willing to talk to me about these settings? Maybe on Monday? Writing isn't my strong suite and I don't always express myself well.

You're better off finding a local Avaya Business Partner, I'm based in England....:)

When I come to think of it, you posting the IP might have saved you a great deal of money.
A good hacker-hit can easily result in a telephony bill ranging from $1,000 to $100,000.

Spend some money on a VPN firewall and a consultant as well.
Plenty of techs here that do this for a living, but don't expect them to do phone support for free [smile]

You're based in New York, but I guess anyone familiar with the North American setup could help you out for a fee.
(I can recommend a few: Westi, AACon, Cargoski, Biv343)

Kind regards

Gunnar
