Hi,
I'm trying to allow someone to call international numbers through our phone system. From googling around I thought it was to do with the user's NCOS setting. Some users could already call international numbers so I did a print of one of their TNs and saw their NCOS was set to 7, where the problem user's was set to 5. I changed it to 7 but it still doesn't work, is there something more I need to do - am I on the right lines here?
Thanks

I would check that you have CLS TLD on the TN your having problems with matching those other NCOS settings, other than that it maywell be an SPN issue

Cheers!!

Yes this user has CLS TLD. What's SPN?

LD 90 / Special Number Translation blocks on Access Codes
in your case AC1 'Level 9' I guess

Cheers!!

your on the right track, prt a working set, match ncos/tgar and the 1st class mark... ie unr (usually) instead of ctd

I had come to the conclusion it was an NCOS/TGAR issue, so I changed this persons settings for both to match someone else who could cal internationally. The NCOS list I use was completely unrestricted. I phoned the meridian helpline too to check with them and tehy said I'd done it right. Despite this it stil won't work! The person in question is using skype now (as she did before, but had a period of poor line quality) so we'll continue like that for now. Would be nice to know what it was though. Thanks for everyone's help

A lot depends on how your defining your calling if you are using BARS/NARS then it could be a number of things.

If you are dialling say 9xxxxx and '9' is your AccessCode to your Public/International route then TGAR to TGAR relationship would be relevent as if they match in the TN and Route their calls will be blocked

If its BARS/NARS have a look first at your NCTL tables for the FRL's in the RouteListIndexes (RLI's) relate to the NCOS settings as each entry of an RLI has an FRL which must meet or exceed the TN/Phones NCOS

Cheers!!

Sorry thats TGAR 'TN' to TARG 'Route' relationship

Cheers!!
