Hi All,

Would appreciate any advice\assistance on the following: our users in our US office (on any of their phones)are unable to call an extn in our UK office when dialing the internal four digit code. They can reach other users in the UK office(using internal number and DDI) and they can reach this particular phone using the DDI.

Here is the output for the extn that doesn't work:

Went through the CLS for both but unable to see what is missing ?

would appreciate any pointers

thanks

Do they have steering code entry for 2300 in US to direct call over to you?

Is there a conflict at their site on the extension they are trying to call? Also agree with steeviedude, check out the steering codes.

Checkk the TGAR values. 0 on good phone 1 on bad phone. That could be restricting access to the internal tie line.

Also cls of tld on bad phone and ctd on good phone.

Change the bad phone so that ithas the same settings as the good one.

PD-S

Before you even look at the phone, make sure you have the steering code in place, as steeviedude suggest. Once the steering code issue is ruled out, then look at the phone.

thanks to everyone for the suggestions. Have asked our US office to check steering code first

Use the DCH monitor if you see the setup message going out of the US you can forget barring and routing in the US. If you dont see the setup message then you are looking in the US.

If its in the US then like you say above look at the routing (Steering codes) as you may have a DSC of 22 but not 23 for example. If the routing looks good and access between the two sites is on virtual trunk set the FRL's 0-7 on the VTRK to an FCR that is set to allow (Usually 0), then the CLS TLD will be ruled out. Also remove the TARG's from the VTRK to rule that out (Or turn off TGAR/TARG if you don't use it in LD 86).

thanks to everyone for their input. It was the missing steering code
