I have a contest page at Up to a few days ago, working fine. Suddenly, I get Internal Server Error when attempting to submit an entry. I even created a brand new VERY SIMPLE page at and same thing.
I don't know how the problem could suddenly appear without having made any changes to my script. Could it have to do with a problem at my hosting company's server? They say no. I've tried to fix it for 2 days, no success. Path is correct. Permissions are set to 755. What am I missing? Please help.

I attempted to access the page without success. I also tried to access just he rooturl without success. The server is not up at the moment. I will look later.

I would propose that if you have no other programmers working in your webspace and you have not made any changes that it is unlikely that your code spontanously quit working. Now it is possible that a server side change has occured?

1-I would attempt to detect the server variables and see if all is in order?
2-Are other scripts working? Currently I cannot see your website at all?hmmm

Thanks for your reply.
That's wierd. I just tried my site and I get it OK. perhaps you could try again now.

How do I "detect server variables"?

Ok I got into your server and attempted to use the script.

The Anymail.cgi is a pretty hardy program. It is unlikely that it is to fault for you problems. I believe the setup on that program is quiet limited or not difficult.

I would look for a simple syntax error in the script for starters. Did anyone edit the file and forget to put a semicolon or something?

If you have perl installed on your computer you can run it through the interpreter on the command line to look for a syntax error. If you dont you can copy and paste the code here or email it to me and I will run it through and interpreter on my machine and look the code over. Be sure and change the paths and such before you send or post it.
