I have a contest page at Up to a few days ago, working fine. Suddenly, I get Internal Server Error when attempting to submit an entry. I even created a brand new VERY SIMPLE page at and same thing.
I don't know how the problem could suddenly appear without having made any changes to my script. Could it have to do with a problem at my hosting company's server? They say no. I've tried to fix it for 2 days, no success. Path is correct. Permissions are set to 755. What am I missing? Please help.

I just clicked on those links, and the server is down right now. (TCP Error.) I tried pinging - request timed out. They are down alright.

If you made no changes to your script, then something on the server had to change. Computers don't just decide 'not to work' on a fickle basis. Not very moody.

How are you transferring your files to the server? FTP? I had problems w/ getting scripts to work on a remote host I was FTPing them to. It ended up being a problem w/ my FTP client software. It was transferring everything in Binary mode, rather than ascii. After I clicked the little button to change this, the world was my oyester.

Good luck.

I use ftp and am always careful to upload in ascii when necessary. I don't even rely on the ftp's autodetect to do it for me. I set ascii manually to be sure.

I keep telling my host that it's something to do with his server, but he keeps saying no. Arggg!

I know I haven't made any changes, and as you say, a computer doesn't just decide to up and quit for no reason...
