I just inherited 1 bcm400 6.0 & 3 norstar cics 4.0 in one building & 1 Norstar cics 4.0 in another building about 150ft. apart.
The problem is building one with 3 systems could do an internal page F610 & all would receive the page including bldg.2 How are they connected to accomplish this...

Thanks

F610 is page all groups plus external. Look for external speaker connection.

I believe F610 is all sets.
F630 all sets and external
F62 external only

The internal page is coming through the phone speakers on all phones, Do you know how they are wired together since there are multiple systems involved?

Thank you.

Found out the systems are not connected. One phone in each office in two buildings are from one system only, that's how they are able to page in both buildings.....

Thanks for your support.......

You mean 2 buildings share the same system, lol?

Thanks for brain tease anyway.

Curlycord,

If you would read my post again, you will see I did not say that "2 buildings share the same system". I found out that the previous business I inherited this from, had one phone in each department in the two buildings, connected to one system for the purpose of paging each other from building to building. Like I said in the beginning, there were 4 systems in one building $ one system in another building, but they were never all connected together......!

Ok I re read it a few times, when you say "office" I gather you meant "business" my fault totally.

For some stupid reason I thought everyone's office had a phone.

Gonna hang myself now

Curlycord~

This site is for helping individuals who request technical input (help) for their problems at hand, & also to "give" technical input in areas that they know something about. If you cannot contribute or do not know the answer, please refrain from the "Sarcasm".

Thank you.

Why are you so negative?
I have helped you plenty of time in the past, now twice you make negative comments....even after I took all the blame for not reading correctly.

Chill out brotha.

Your help in the past was appreciated & noted.....! Good luck in the future....

I guess it's a good way of having a backup in place in case one phone system falls over. It's not that common over here on this side of the pond to find that a customer has more than one phone system in the same building that is shared by the same company. It wouldn't be that bad if the phone sets were totally different. i.e. having different phone systems so that you can know which is which, but the BCM and Norstar are pretty well the same beast having almost identical features as well as the phones being interchangable etc.

I wouldn't want to do any phone fault finding at that site.
Best of luck with that one!.
