I am a newbie so forgive any incorrect terminology.

I am setting up a first time installation of Exchange 2003, currently use POP3 from ISP.

Internal name for my users is in the format of three letters, their initials. ex abc

The external email address for my users is first initial, last name. ex achamp@abc.com

How do I settup exchange so the they receive their email at achamp@abc.com

Is it through a policy or when I set up the mail box, or an alias???

I am runing exchange 2003 on a 2000 Advanced server SP4

thanks for your help ahead of time.

This is just what I needed, thanks very much.

How would you send it out using this domain: achamp@abc.com?
When I send it out thru outlook, it uses champ@mydomain.com instead.

The address the message appears to from would be the one that is set as the primary address; adjust that in the recipient policy.
