I created a clid for the helpdesk, which is fine when they call out, but is there a way to show a unique number for all of them when they use their lines to call internally?

No, it will show the DN of the KEY being used on that phone.

Yes, via a the following;
1) Change the name of the DN's on the sets to: f.e. "1234 Helpdesk".
Where 1234 is the Helpdesk numer.

2) Change the phonesets so that the internal DN display is off.
