Dear everyone,

Is it possible to alter my internal calling line id to let's say a hunt group number? Outgoing this is easy, but internally I keep sending my own extension.

Regards,
Tommie

hahahaha,... To bad,... This seemed like such a simple task... People want to call out with just their hunting ID because they do not want to be called back on their private line... :(

Either way their phone rings, systems are designed to get calls through not to help evade them, they can always overflow/forward to the group. I imagine people are ringing that person as they want that person not a colleague :)

People are not in charge! PBX ADMIN Should be! ;) haha

Unfortunately for you the IP Office comes from a small system background. So its heritage is one where the internal caller is very likely sitting within range of a well aimed elastic band if they want to do anything silly like hiding who they are. So attempting to hide was pointless. And since that's where the vast bulk of IP Office sales still are the demand for change to that is probably still low.

You could just set your phone to forward non-group calls to the group. If you have Voicemail Pro you could forward your internal calls to it to do some form of call screening based on who you will allow to call you. Just remember to duck whatever objects might be fired at you as a result.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Thanks sizbut... I guess we'll be going down that road I guess.

I got really good at ducking since working with Avaya, no worries there... ;)

Crate a short code ##N/DialExtension/NS999 to display 999 to the called one. With direct calls (without short code) it is not possible.

Working on Avaya systems is no breeze, but it's far better than giving them the Cisco equivalent.....talk about convoluted and restrictive :)
