I have a tie line going from Meridian to a Definity.

Meridian ---> Definity displays external number (e.g., 516-555-1212)

Definity ---> Meridian showing internal DN (e.g., 1212)

How can I configure the Meridian to send internal DN to Definity on internal calls and external CLID on external incoming calls?

mark your rdb as int and check the pni numbers (they need to match) and the rcap entries in the dch

No go.

The LD16 RDB is showing RCLS: INT, there is no RCAP prompt, PNI is 000000.

However, I checked in LD 17 for the DCH build-out and RCAP = NDS. I could not change the RCAP in LD 17, gives me SCH0531. Here's the definition:

SCH0531 Unable to match input with stored mnemonics.
Action: The RCAP prompt in overlay 16 has been answered NDS when QSUr
QSIG GF are not accessible or with an inappropriate interface configured
(e.g.SL1). Reconfigure accordingly.

Any other ideas?

How are your calls routed? DSC? SPN? to the Definity. Also you can apply a DMI table to those calls that only modifies the call type. Example:

REQ NEW
CUST 0
FEAT DGT
DMI xx
DEL
INST
CTYP CDP

Calls are being routed via CDP to Definity. Creating a DMI to absorb digits will not work as it will absorb needed digits also.

Agreed. I am not saying to use the DMI to modify digits, I am using the DMI to set the Call Type (CTYP).

CDP will Send DN
ESN will send HLOC+DN
NXX will send NXX+DN
NPA will send NPA+NXX+DN

Assuming the CLID tables are set correctly.

Your reference assuming CLID tables are set up correctly would only apply to ESN, NXX and NPA and exclusive of CDP, correct?

In theory if one uses DMI/CTYP of CDP, the bare DN would be sent with no corrolation to what is in NET_DATA CLID tables, right?
