Internal Call Display on M3903 and M3904

Hey guys,
can't figure this out. Both phones seem like they are programmed exactly the same in the CLS. When you interoffice extension dial from the 3904, the call display on the destination phone will show the DN and the name.
When you interoffice ext dial from the 3903, only the DN will show up.
Am i missing something obvious here?

working as desgined - the M3903 display area is smaller than the M3904

yyrk may be on point on that (usually is).. i don't use 3's that much.. i did a file compare and all cls marks that control display match..

shows the firmware and flash on that set...

downloads when the set is idle if it's not on the latest rls..

forces a download regardless of version or state..

we keep all sets matched to the switch.. we force sets when they come in prior to putting them on a shelf.. if a 3900 has strange problems we force a download.. sometimes that is all that is needed

sorry to clarify yyrkroon,

Joe sits at the 3903. John sits at the 3904.
When Joe calls Jane Receptionist who is using a 3904 with console attachment, Jane Receptionish only sees Joe's DN.
When John calls Jane Receptionist, Jane can see his name display and DN.
I have looked at a few other 3904's too and they are programmed the same. Why is only John's 3904 able to have his name display on other phones?

Could be that joe's name is to long. if number and name is to many charachtors - will only show number
