I'm trying to get internal calls to show up on my CDR reports, but all I get is N or NX but no number. I have ICDA in my CLS. I understand that there is some "L" record that should show up, but I don't think I understand what that means. Can anyone offer me the short bus, drool on yourself explanation?

I had the exact same problem, and dangit I can't remember if it was a PBX setting or a CDR PC setting - but I am 99% sure it was a change in the CDR application.

Not to offload the problem, but I bet the software comapny has had to answer this many times...please let us know of you do find the solution

ICDA is the only thing that is "on" in the Class of Service of the phone....however, depending on how you are getting the records to the CDR package can also make a difference. If you are using an MDR buffer box, there is a long string that needs to be input so that the MDR box knows what to do with the record also.

I have ICDA on all the phones that will be reported. I'm going to call this cheesy application's support group and get some help.

Thanks

Check ICDA is on LD 10/11/12/27

Internal calls were only available from a certain release of software from Meridian, can't remember what it was though, it was ages back.

An L record is indeed an interal record.
Have a look at the start of the line of data coming out from the TTY. If all you are seeing is N and no Ls then it's the PBX rather than the app.

Here's a somewhat related question. I get all my internal calls. System was set up that way when I got here.

How can I get ANI information in my CDR for incoming external calls? The number for incoming calls appears on our phone displays, so the PBX is getting them, but I don't know how to get them to the CDR application. I've asked the company; answer is pending.
