we have seen intermittent outtages between two opt11's. Here is the d-channel messages I caught during a call to the remote site:

Turns out the telco found water on the cables!

Check the telco's network interface (aka "smart jack") and see what the lights are showing, and the CSU/DSU between their T1 and your switch.

You can also look for red/yellow alarms on your maintenance terminal. Also try LCNT in LD 60 to give you an idea of T1 issues from the telco. If things are working well, you should see all 0's in the past 24 hours.

Also try a loopback adapter into the TMDI card to determine if the card itself if flaky - if the red alarm goes away with a loopback adapter and comes back when you plug the T1 back in - chances are it's a telco issue.

I can't tell you how many calls I get for down T1's during the spring thaw and periods of very rainy weather.
