Intermittent offline desktops, Target computer not found

I've got a small network of 25 or so pc's with 2 DCs: one win2k3 sbs, one win2k3 enterprise. Over the past few weeks I've been getting intermittent issues where one or two desktops will be offline after poweron, users will not have network drives and/or printers.

I tried setting the policy "Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon." -no fix

I tried the DependOnService registry edit ( no fix

I turned verbose userenv logging on all network pc's and I have collected the log for a failed startup, which I will paste below. I notice that the first problem is the ping failed, which I think is the test for slow link detection. I'm not sure I should try to get rid of slow link detection, because if it can't ping, it can't do anything else either. Yet, once logged on, manually navigating to network resources works. So problem is only during the startup.

These last 2 entries repeat a lot and that's about it.

Anybody seen this before?
 
This issue was fixed by updating the drivers for the pc's broadcom gigabit NIC
