intermittent network issues with computers freezing on aloha pos terminals

I have a customer whose network is freezing and the aloha pos terminals stop workingin the customer has to reboot all p o s terminals many times to get the system up again.
this wisite is new and only 7 months old with brand new cat 5 e cabling and jacks and network cable length under 100 feet.

the network cabling test fine no anomalies. patch cords patch panel everything's good is well ales electrical everything's on battery backup.
aloha keeps pointing the finger at the cabling ( its certified and new) any suggestions on how to or what to do,
 
I have seen this plenty of times in the past. It's usually one of two things:

1) The switch needs to be replaced
2) The NIC on the server is going into power-save mode

Check the NIC on the server first to see if power-save mode is enabled (or even available). If it is, turn it off and see if the issue occurs again. If it's off and it continues to happen, replace the switch. It's cheap and chances are that is the problem. Remember -- all terminals are freezing, not just one. It's going to be a single point of failure issue like the switch or NIC to the server.

hi Rodney my customer has same issue and Ive also taken butlers good advice by checking server NIC and replacing switch with no luck have you shone any light on the matter ?
 
The switches on the network could be a help to you when troubleshooting this issue.
For example,
- check switch logs to see if any events/errors are occurring.
- make sure switch logging is set to log interface up/down events as well
- check interface statistics & performance.
- when the event is occurring, do any of the switch interfaces show high utilisation?
- do any of the interfaces show errors?
- get a laptop onto the network and setup continuous pings to the server Ip address(es) as well as to a few of the PoS terminals (if they respond to ping)
