intermittent dead air when seizing a line

When seizing a PRI line using a BCM 450 very occasionally we are getting dead air. We have replaced
*BCM450 with a release 5 and completely reprogrammed manually
*All the cards inc the PRI DTM
*The network switch
*We have even changed carriers

Phones are 1140E IP Phones. This does not happen with the one digital phone in the building and did not happen when it was a BCM 400.

I'm guessing that you have the 450 fully patched up?. It does sound to be an issue with the 450 if the good old 400 was fine. I don't suppose you can go back to the 400 again?.

Yeah Patched up, I have read something interesting in the release notes for unistim 5.4. I am going to upgrade the system to R6 latest and upgrade 1100 series phones.
