I don't know how long this has been available but the system returns different tones when dialing the night service inquiry code.
Day mode = constant dial tone
Night mode 1 = Fast Stutter Dial Tone
Night mode 2 = Slow Stutter Dial Tone
Allows non-display sets to check night mode.
