interdev 6 + "Unable to complete transaction" 1

Interdev 6.0 through a proxy server will connect to my remote server fine, but when i try to refresh the project (i.e. login), the following error is thrown:

"Unable to open Web project 'ProjectName'. Unable to complete transaction - the server requested authentication information (userid/password) using an authentication scheme (negotiate) that is unsupported by FrontPage."

I've found, read and tried...

I also came across an old post in a newsgroup saying there is *no* cure for this problem. Pleeease tell me this ain't true! Any help greatly appreciated, Mick

sorry! never did find a solution. ended up using a dialup modem to connect :-(

That is what I have been doing... Got my hopes up when I saw your post... and hoped that someone else figured it out. I've spent about 2 days trying all sorts of configurations. BUMMER MAN! Thanks for getting back to me though!

Set the website to Basic authentication instead of Integrated Windows authentication.

Control panel -> Administrative tools -> Internet services manager. Then right click the website -> Properties -> Directory security -> Edit
